Oman Citizen Finds Relief at Bangladesh’s DPRC Hospital
Hamid, a 43-year-old citizen of Oman, had been suffering from severe rheumatic pain for a long time. Despite consulting with several doctors in his home country, he found no effective solution. His journey towards relief finally led him to Bangladesh, where he was admitted to the DPRC Hospital.
A Bangladeshi immigrant had recommended Dr. Md Shafiullah Prodhan, a specialist in arthritis, pain management, paralysis, and rehabilitation, to Hamid. Relying on this recommendation, Hamid flew to Bangladesh from Oman and sought treatment at DPRC Hospital, located at 12/1 Ring Road, Shyamoli, Dhaka-1207, the capital city of the country.
Impressed by Bangladesh’s Advanced Medical System
During his 10-day stay, Hamid received continuous treatment and was highly impressed by the advanced medical system in Bangladesh. He achieved better results than in Oman and praised the service, sincerity, language, and culture of the people. Hamid even found himself forgetting that he had to return to Oman.
Dr. Md Shafiullah Prodhan, under whose overall supervision Hamid was treated, highlighted the revolutionary changes in Bangladesh’s medical system, which have made the country a trusted destination for foreign patients. Hamid, a senior officer from Oman, had previously undergone a back surgery known as PLID (prolapsed disc) and was facing a similar issue again but preferred to avoid another surgery.
A Non-Surgical Approach to Pain Management
A Bangladeshi immigrant informed Hamid that his back problem could be treated without surgery at DPRC in Bangladesh. Consequently, Hamid travelled from Oman to seek advanced rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment. According to Hamid’s feedback, he is currently in excellent health. Dr. Prodhan emphasised that DPRC offers various advanced treatments that do not require surgical intervention.
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and well-trained staff for non-operative care. The success of DPRC in treating pain, paralysis, and arthritis without surgery has garnered a reputation beyond the country’s borders.
A Promising Future for Medical Tourism
Hamid’s positive experience at DPRC Hospital showcases the potential for Bangladesh to become a prime destination for medical tourism. Hopefully, once Hamid fully recovers, he will refer other patients to DPRC in Bangladesh, further enhancing the country’s reputation in the global healthcare arena.
